KEVIN Keen has named five players with first-team experience in his
Reserve team to take on Chelsea at Aldershot this evening, kick-off
7.00pm.
Elliott Ward, Chris Cohen, Clive Clarke and David Bellion are the
players with senior experience lining-up this evening, while young
midfielder Tony Stokes has also made his first-team bow after
coming on as a substitute in the Carling Cup victory over Sheffield
Wednesday.
Matt Reed starts in goal having impressed between the sticks for
the Reserve team this season, with Jemel Henry at right-back
joining an experienced back four which includes Ward and Cohen in
central defence and Clarke at left-back.
David Bellion looks set to start on the right of midfield with Tony
Stokes partnering David Cowley in the centre and Ishmael Welsh
winning a start on the left.
Up front sees the youthful pairing of Zavon Hines and Jack Jeffery
again start for the Hammers second-string. Both the strikers are
16-year-old first year scholars in the West Ham United Academy.
