TODAY, 1st December 2005, marks World Aids Day.
Did you know that if you doube the capacity of Upton Park and then
add a few more thousand and that would be the same number of people
that have been diagnosed with HIV in the UK?
The number continues to increase and East London has some of the
highest levels of HIV infection in the whole country. HIV is an
issue for the whole community and needs the whole community to help
face the challenge it presents.
Wearing condoms remains one of the simplest ways of helping stop
the transmission of HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infections.
Positive East is your local HIV Charity, providing
a range of services supporting people living with and affected by
HIV across the whole of East London and Inner Essex.
