WEST Ham United would like to express their sincerest condolences
on the passing of Manchester United and Northern Ireland legend
George Best.
No matter what club you support, it is a very sad day for football
to lose one of the game's true greats and an iconic figure in
world football.
A minute's silence will be held to mourn the passing of George
Best before kick-off in Sunday's game with Manchester United at
Upton Park.
West Ham United have mourned the loss of several of the game's
greatest players over the years, including England's World Cup
winning captain Bobby Moore, and we are sure the Boleyn Ground will
be honoured to pay its deepest respects to a player who was truly
one of the greatest the game has ever seen.
