HEAD Physio Steve Allen on the latest from the West Ham United
treatment room, where it is good news ahead of the clash against
West Brom, with the likes of Mark Noble returning to fitness and
Matty Etherington and Nigel Reo-Coker overcoming knocks.
Roy Carroll
"Roy injured his knee in training two weeks
ago. He is making good progress, although he won't be
ready to return to action this weekend.
Matty Etherington
"Matty didn't train on
Thursday because of some tightness in his groin. He will be
back in training on Friday though and should be fine for
Saturday's game against West Brom."
Nigel Reo-Coker
"Nigel has suffered some bone bruising and also
didn't train on Thursday, but he should be back training on
Friday and is another player who should be fine for Saturday's
game.
Jeremie Aliadiere
"Jeremie didn't train on Thursday after
playing for the Reserves on Wednesday evening. He came off at
half-time in the Reserve game. He also should be back in
training on Friday and available for selection on Saturday.
Mark Noble
"Mark played for the Reserves against Norwich
City in midweek, his first game since coming back after a back
problem. He was suffering from a prolapsed disc, which had been
bothering him since last season. He had an injection and then went
through a course of exercises designed to strengthen the corset
area, and he is now back to fitness."
This weekend, Hammers will also be without goalkeeper Jimmy
Walker who continues his rehabilitation after surgery to repair
cruciate knee ligament damage.
