Play-off Final Rail Travel


INFORMATION for all those supporters planning to travel to Cardiff by rail for the Play-off Final.

• All main routes to Cardiff (from London, via Gloucester, Bristol and Crewe) are clear of significant engineering work and are operating a normal timetable of services.

• There is a good rail shuttle service between Newport and Cardiff before and after the match.

• Car parking is available at Caerphilly & Aber (access from A470 and follow the signs to the stations), Radyr (access from A470 and follow the signs to Radyr Park & Ride) and Taffs Well (access from A470) stations with direct local services into Cardiff.

• A regular service operates into Cardiff from both Bridgend and Barry.

• Note that some stations have very restricted car park facilities and train services using these stations will have only limited capacity on the journey into Cardiff - these include Chepstow and Lydney,

• Note that reservations are strongly recommended for all trains to Cardiff otherwise it may not be possible to join some services.

• On the return it is not possible to reserve seats in view of the customer numbers involved.  A first-come first-served queuing system will be in place at Cardiff Central station to minimise waiting time.
