Sheri Is Powerade Player Of The Month

TEDDY Sheringham has been named the Powerade Player of the Month for April in the Coca-Cola Championship.

The 39-year-old striker had a fantastic time of it last month, scoring in the 2-1 win at Wigan and finding the net against Burnley and Coventry as Hammers won four, drew two and lost just once during April.

The award, sponsored by Powerade, the official drinks supplier of the Football League, is designed to recognise the top performances on a monthly basis in each level of the Football League.

Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara chairs the awards panel. He said: "Teddy has been in incredible form this season, scoring 21 goals. It¹s the first time in 13 years that a West Ham player has scored over 20 goals in a season and his strikes, especially in the last month, have meant that the Hammers are still in with a great chance of making the Play-Offs."
