Charlton Lift Women's Fa Cup

Charlton Athletic have won the Women's FA Cup with a 1-0 victory over Everton at Upton Park.

A crowd of 8,567 saw Eniola Aluko slot the winner home just before the hour mark after good work by Emma Cross.

Charlton, runners-up in 2003 and 2004, then easily held the Merseysiders at bay for the rest of the game to finally lift the trophy after going so close at the Boleyn Ground in the past.

Goalscorer Aluko could not hide her delight afterwards: "This is the best feeling I've ever had in my life. The team spirit here is unbelievable, and I just love playing for Charlton."
