NO less than six West Ham United youngsters have received
England Youth call-ups.
Mark Noble has been invited to join Martin Hunter's squad to
face Denmark, Sweden and Moldova in this month's elite round
qualifying tournament for the UEFA Under-19 European Championships.
England face Denmark at Crewe's Gresty Road ground on March
26th, followed by a game against Sweden two days later at Gigg
Lane, Bury and finally on March 30th they are up against Moldova at
Bloomfield Road, Blackpool.
Chris Cohen and Kyel Reid have been included in a training party
for the England Under-18s with Moses Ashikodi on stand by. England
have no forthcoming fixtures in this age group.
Hogan Ephraim has been called up to the England Under-17 squad,
which will take on Serbia and Montenegro, Northern Ireland and the
Republic of Ireland in a mini-tournament to see who will qualify
for the European Under-17 Championship Finals to be held in Italy
in June.
The opening game will be against Serbia & Montenegro on March
26th at Stoke City's Britannia Stadium, followed two days later
by a game against Northern Ireland at Molineux and finishing off at
the Bescott Stadium on March 30th against the Republic of Ireland.
Schoolboy James Tomkins has been called up for England Under-16s to
compete in the Montaigu tournament. The opening game is
against Japan on March 23rd, the following day the English boys
face Portugal and finish the tournament against Cameroon two days
later.
