Hammers Sign New Head Physio

STEVE Allen has joined West Ham United as the new Head Physiotherapist.

Previously with Cardiff City, Steve replaces John Green who has left the Club to concentrate on his private practice.

Manager Alan Pardew is delighted that Steve has agreed to join his backroom team at Upton Park.

"I am extremely delighted to welcome Steve to West Ham United as Head Physio. He has great experience for someone so young and this is another massive boost for the Club. I now have my staff complete ahead of next season.

"Steve will work in the new Technical Department, which is headed by another recent acquisition, Niall Clark. This is a completely different approach in technology, fitness and the rehabilitation of injured players.

"We are going to need to be at the cutting edge to ensure that we get the best out of our players, and that's exactly what we intend to do.

"The main beneficiaries of Steve's arrival will be the players and, of course, they are the essential ingredients of a successful club."
