SKILLCITY 2005 was the UK's largest ever interactive careers
and training event for young people, held in London's Excel
Center in July.
Around 120,000 visitors aged between 12 and 30 passed through its
doors to uncover the wealth of skills-based career opportunities
that vocational training has to offer.
This unique event gave visitors the chance to experience and
'have-a-go' at a range of skills, see the best of the
UK's practitioners in action and pick up information on jobs
and careers across a range of industry sectors.
West Ham United participated actively in the event sending coaches
from its Football in the Community department to offer
demonstrations and advice on the skills involved in football
coaching.
