WEST Ham United is pleased to announce that defender Elliott Ward
has signed a four year extension to his contract.
The 20-year-old Academy graduate broke through into the Hammers
first-team last season and forged an excellent central defensive
partnership with Anton Ferdinand that proved to be the backbone of
West Ham United's promotion to the Premier League.
After making his League debut as a substitute against Reading in
March, Elliott went on to play in all of Hammers final 13 games of
the season, including the three memorable Play-off matches.
In total he has made 15 senior appearances for the Hammers and will
be hoping to add to that total in the Premiership this season.
West Ham United are hoping to complete the signing of striker Petr
Mikolanda soon. Petr impressed Alan Pardew while on trial at the
Club earlier in the pre-season campaign. He scored two goals in
Hammers 3-0 defeat of Vastra Frolunda on their Swedish tour and
followed it up with a goal in the 2-2 draw at Yeovil
Town.
