ALAN Pardew has revealed his delight at the level of Season Ticket
sales at Upton Park for the coming season, as the Hammers faithful
look to back their team all the way into what promises to be a
fantastic Premier League season.
Current Season Ticket sales have passed the 20,000 mark, easily
surpassing the record set in the summer of 2002, and Pards is
delighted with the level of loyal support shown by the West Ham
United fans.
He said: "It is a tremendous boost for myself, the players and
staff at the Club to see the number of fans that have taken up
Season Tickets for the coming season.
"It proves that West Ham United is one of the best supported
clubs in the country and is a great show of faith in the squad that
will only give them confidence as we go into what should be a very
exciting season.
"There is nothing better for the team than to play in front of
a packed Upton Park, when the crowd is really behind us. The
feeling that is generated inside the Stadium at times is
magnificent and the atmosphere at our home games is going to be a
really important factor for us this season, with some of the tops
clubs in the world visiting the Boleyn Ground.
"The fans proved their loyalty time and again last season.
Their support was fantastic and played a major part in us winning
promotion. Now we are all determined to make them proud of the Club
in the Premiership and make sure that we do not let their support
down.
"There is a fantastic buzz around the Club at the moment and
this is a great time to be associated with West Ham
United."
