Teddy Calls Fans To Boleyn Ground For Fa Cup Final

TEDDY Sheringham is calling all West Ham United fans to support The FA Women's Cup Final, in partnership with Nationwide, when it takes place at The Boleyn Ground on Monday 2nd May 2005 (kick off 1.00pm).

Sheringham, who knows all about the history and prestige of The FA Cup having won it with Manchester United in 1999, is urging Hammers' fans to get behind Charlton Athletic and Everton who are contesting this year's Final.

The match sees two of the country's top women's teams go head-to-head in what promises to be a fiercely contested match. Charlton, who finished runners-up in the Nationwide Premier League last weekend, will be looking to make it third time lucky while Everton, under the leadership of former England star Mo Marley, are hoping to upstage the London club by taking The FA Women's Cup back to Merseyside.

Wishing both teams good luck, Teddy Sheringham said: "Many congratulations to both Charlton Athletic and Everton for reaching The FA Women's Cup Final.  As an FA Cup winner with Manchester United I urge the players of both sides to ensure they savour every minute of what is a great occasion because it's over in a flash.  I'm sure the game will be an exciting one and it will be played in the right spirit in the fabulous surroundings of the Boleyn Ground."

The FA Women's Cup Final kicks off at 1.00pm on Monday 2nd May 2005 at West Ham United's Boleyn Ground. Tickets are on sale now priced £3 for adults and £1 for concessions in advance (£5/£2 on the day) and can be purchased at the West Ham United Ticket Office or by calling the ticket hotline on 0870 112 2700.
