WEST Ham United Under-18s have lost 2-1 at Cardiff, Tony
Stokes' second-half strike not enough to earn Hammers a point.
Cardiff took the lead at a sunny Pontrypridd in the twenty seventh
minute despite West Ham having the greater of the chances.
The score remained the same until two minutes from time when a long
clearance from Darren Behcet found Tony Stokes in the opponents
half. A quick bounce over a defender and the ball was fired
home for the Hammers equaliser.
However the joy was shortlived as the home side grabbed an
unexpected winner some sixty seconds later to deny Tony Carr's
team a point.
