Don, who has been told that he can go out on loan when he is fit, will be looking to prove to potential suitors that he is ready to play first team football again.
West Ham field an experienced line-up which also includes Anton Ferdinand, fit again after an injury sustained on England U21 duty.
James Walker plays in goal and, although he admits that life is very different for him not playing regular first team football as he did for a decade at his previous club Walsall, he has no complaints.
