Alan Pardew is delighted that the injuries at the club are clearing up.

"Steve Lomas has come through the game on Tuesday, as has Bobby Zamora, and Anton Ferdinand has come through a reserve game," he says.

"Hutch has had his first day of training with the first team today so we are getting people back.

"Luke Chadwick got a slight knock but we think he is going to be okay.

"This is what you want at the club - it is great that players are coming back."

He denies that keeping everyone happy now will be a problem and adds:

"Manchester United have probably got senior 15 players not in the first team and Chelsea the same, so I can cope with two or three!

"The bottom line is it won't be the first eleven that gets this team promoted, it will be the squad - and it is important we all stick together and pull for each other."

The major injury is Christian Dailly, and Alan adds:

"Christian is on schedule and will be two months away at worst."

Calum Davenport, Chris Powell, and Carl Fletcher all return after being unable to play against Notts. County in the Carling Cup, while Teddy Sheringham, who was rested for that match, also comes back.

SQUAD: Bywater, Walker, Repka, Fletcher, Rebrov, Sheringham, Harewood, Lomas, Etherington, Mullins, Powell, Reo-Coker, Mackay, Chadwick, Cohen, Zamora, Davenport.
