"There is no problem there; he is in the team at the minute and is doing quite well," says Rufus, who took the left back slot on Tuesday night against Notts. County but made way for Chris in the last league game, against Rotherham.
"I played at Sheffield United but not in the next game and that is the manager's decision - it is up to him at the end of the day, and it is about competition - you need that.
"When I was at Fulham I had it and we have got competition in nearly every position now; we have two fantastic goalkeepers, centre halves, midfield players, and if we are going to do anything it is a squad that is going to do it - not just 11 players."
As for the win over County, he says:
"It is always tough against teams like that; they had everything to play for and it was difficult.
"They had nothing to lose and they came to our place with a nice stadium and a nice pitch - it was a big game for them.
"We have won the game and I think that's all we could do - the manager said it was important that we did that.
"It was not the best performance - we have scored three goals and let two really bad ones in - but we got in to the next round to play Chelsea.
"And my own game? Not bad - in patches."
