"Hopefully we can carry on the good work we have done in the past five or six days because we have got ourselves into a very good position," says Teddy, currently wearing the captain's arm band in the absence of Christian Dailly.
"I thought we passed the ball around well against Rotherham and we were pleased; we made them work to try and keep a clean sheet and we broke them down in the end."
The Hammers are certainly upping the ante when it comes to set pieces, with Teddy surprising everyone - not least the Sheffield United defence - last weekend when he scored with a left foot free kick.
What was the reasoning?
"It was the fact that is was very windy and I was trying them in the warm-up beforehand," he explains.
"I was talking with Jimmy Walker in the pre-match kick-in and I was hitting balls with my left foot which were whipping round with the wind - I thought if I get a chance I will give it a go in the game.
"But I don't know if I will get the opportunity to have a go against Ipswich with Mattie scoring on Tuesday - I won't get them off him now!"
Matthew is looking forward to seeing old team mate Kevin Horlock back at the club he left in the summer - and who, of course, he supports.
"Kevin is a good player and a decent bloke so it will be nice to see him again," says Mattie.
"And let's hope we can finish a good week with another win."
