Calum: I Can Take Pressure

Calum Davenport is looking forward to his first home game since joining on loan from Spurs following a convincing performance against Sheffield United on his debut - and is under no illusions that the supporters expect the very best.

"One of the reasons I have come here is that you have to learn to play under those kinds of pressures and conditions and hopefully it can make you a stronger and better player," he says.

"To get the first win and the first game under my belt was nice to get out of the way and now we can focus on these three home games on the trot."

Of his debut at Bramall Lane, he reflects:

"I knew going there was going to be a battle but the new lads did well and got a good result.

"When you go there you are not going to get the ball down and pass it around as everyone thinks; you have just got to show your quality when you get in good areas, which I thought we did.

"Steve Bywater might have been a little disappointed with the goal we conceded but all credit to the lads to show the right spirit and the right attitude to come back and get a great result at a difficult place.

"The free kick they scored was well struck and it happens - but the main thing is we responded.

"Some teams might have settled for a point there - but we stuck in there and it worked well for us."
