"It was a good performance on Wednesday; I thought we gave a good account of ourselves and matched them pretty well," he says.
"With a bit more composure in the box we might have got one - and obviously Anton's header was unlucky not to go in.
"I thought the match was a good advertisement for football and played in good spirits; everyone wanted to win but went about it in the right way and hopefully we can build on that now.
"Chelsea let you play a little bit more than the teams in the first division where it is more hurly-burly so it was nice to go and play the game in the proper manner.
"And I have to give a special mention to the fans because I thought they were fantastic.
"Now Plymouth will be a different kettle of fish but hopefully the Chelsea game will spur us on." Steve has put early-season injury worries behind him and he says:
"It has been nice to get a couple of games under my belt now."
Plymouth have lost three of their last four home matches - against Leeds, Wolves, and Wigan.
