"Teddy is struggling to even get on the bench with a thigh injury that has not improved too much but we think he will be okay for Tuesday," says Alan.
As for the situation at the heart of the defence, he adds:
"Calum has suffered a hamstring strain so he is going to miss this game - but we hope to have him next week.
"He has gone back to Tottenham; they have an excellent physio department, as we do, and between them they are going to manage that situation - but we think he will come back shortly.
"Carl Fletcher has picked up a bug from the Welsh camp so he is struggling and Malky isn't quite ready, unfortunately, but could be for Tuesday.
"Don is back and running around although he hasn't played much reserve team football; unfortunately he can't play centre half which is a bit of a blow!
"Anton has a chance to play and we have a scenario this week where we are looking for our squad to come strong - new players are going to get a chance.
"If we get a result we are hopefully going to have a healthy situation on Tuesday, if not the Saturday coming."
The news on Matthew Etherington is good, though, and Alan reveals:
"Matthew Etherington has made remarkable progress after the groin operation and we think he has got a chance for Tuesday."
