Tony Pleased

Tony Carr is more than happy with his Academy side's weekend performance which earned a 2-0 win over Chelsea.

"It was a very good display and pleasing to keep a clean sheet; defensively we looked more solid because I had been re-emphasising the defensive side of our game - the first objective was not to conceded," he says.

"But this can only be the start for us."

The first goal was an own goal after good pressure from Moses Ashikodi following a Mark Noble cross.

The second came when Mark dispossessed a centre back and Danny Bunce supplied the finishing touch.

The game presented an interesting tactical battle for Tony, who adds:

"Chelsea played a European system, which I had anticipated, so we played a 4-3-3 which we applied well and denied them time.

"They may have made five passes to our one but didn't create anything - our keeper didn't have a save to make."
