Says club doctor Sean Howlett:
"He has had a laparoscopic groin repair and he will be starting rehab virtually immediately.
"The intention is that having had the laparoscopic repair, it will allow him to be back playing more quickly than a conventional repair would have.
"He went to a specialist centre in Leicester where the operation was undertaken and it went very well.
"He will be restored to full fitness after suffering for several months."
