Reserves Scuppered

West Ham reserves were foiled by two late goals to go down 3-2 at St. Mary's on Tuesday evening - and Kevin Keen admits he feels "aggrieved" at the defeat against Southampton.

"We played quite well in the first half in what was a very open game with lots of chances," he says.

Sergei Rebrov gave the Hammers the lead with a strong drive midway through the first half - a lead they held until the 68th minute.

"After the break Southampton came out strongly and got the equaliser after James Walker had already made some good saves," he adds.

"We then got a second when Greg Pearson was brought down and Sergei scored a penalty.

"We had other chances but they scored in the 90th and 92nd minutes from set pieces - a corner and a long throw - which we should have defended better.

"In the end it was an extremely disappointing result and it feels like it did for the first team at Forest the other day - you feel aggrieved at losing."
