West Ham United's Christian Dailly and Malky Mackay were
among the players who attended the launch on Wednesday 24th
November, along with West Ham United Chairman Terence Brown and
Higgins Group PLC Chairman Richard Higgins.
The state-of-the-art facility is now available for groups of all
ages to enjoy and develop their football, with evening sessions
already being booked by local teams, while schools, colleges and
other community groups make use of the training centre during the
day.
The centre is also promoting the facilities for lunchtime use by teams from local companies.
West Ham United Chairman Terence Brown said: "The new centre provides local community groups with training facilities to match the very best at professional level. This can only help children get the most from their sport."
"Of course, I'm delighted we can support my favourite football club in bringing professional training facilities to local people," said Richard Higgins of Higgins Group PLC, which is now the official sponsor of West Ham United's community initiatives.
