He played 45 minutes of the reserve team match against Ipswich on Wednesday, and says:
"I had a couple of day's training before the game and I feel okay at the minute.
"I didn't want to push it too much because I had been out for a while but 45 minutes was good - and there was no recurrence of it.
"I just have to see how it goes, take it day by day, make sure it has all cleared up, and manage it right."
Andy knows there is tough competition for a centre half berth, but insists:
"You want to be involved in the first team; that is why I came to the club, so hopefully that will happen in the days to come and I will be in the manager's plans."
Andy senses a positive attitude at the club - and a real determination to make amends for the last two games which only yielded a point.
"The lads have come back strong in training and there is a buzz about the place," he insists, "because obviously they want to put things right after a couple of disappointing away results - hopefully we can get maximum points in these two home games coming up."
