Higgins Supports Hammers Community Programme

HIGGINS is one of the most successful and recognisable names in estate regeneration and affordable house building in London and the South East. Its support for West Ham United has further increased with a 10 year sponsorship boost for our Football In The Community programme.

The Higgins Sports Link Centre in Beckton officially kicks-off in November and will develop even more community projects pioneered by the Constructive Community Link.

It will come as no surprise to anyone familiar with company Chairman Richard Higgins, of his long time personal support for both the Hammers and community regeneration.

The support of the Higgins family has gone from strength to strength since Derek Higgins OBE founded the company in 1961, increasing their corporate sponsorship from being Season Ticket holders to official sponsors of the Club's Football In The Community Scheme.

"At a time when revenue is much reduced, the Higgins Group PLC has come up trumps in their support for our work in the community with an invaluable sponsorship package," says club Chairman Terence Brown.
Higgins Group PLC applies the same commitment to their community initiative investments as they do to their entire construction activities. That means results, and Richard Higgins believes that the community programme has enormous potential.

Their support will benefit tens of thousands of young people in the local boroughs to share life experiences in terms of health, friendship, fair play, tolerance of individual differences, social acceptance and fun whilst benefiting from professional football coaching courses.

"Of course, I'm delighted we can work in partnership with my favourite football club to tackle some important community issues," said Richard Higgins.
