A story at the weekend indicated that this was the case but Alan says:
"On my side I haven't seen any reports about that but he is a player I admire - and a Chelsea player."
Transfer targets will become clearer when West Ham's status next season is known and he adds:
"We have got a couple of scenarios, obviously, but hopefully it will be a situation where we have money and we can purchase some players that can take the club forward."
There are some players on Alan's list for either division and he adds:
"There are a couple that you would like to think will cross over but we will have to wait and see."
As for the Ipswich game on Saturday, he says:
"We will prepare as thoroughly as we can and hopefully we will get our reward.
"We have finished fourth, and that is a reflection of our season, but the smaller competition we are in now means we have a great chance.
"There are four teams and three games and it is a different kind of environment - but something I think we will be comfortable with."
