Blow For Daryl

Daryl McMahon has broken his wrist while Richard Garcia continues to make good progress after having returned to Australia late last week.

Says physio Andy Walker:

"Daryl McMahon has had a bit of bad news; we had him X-rayed following a collision in training and he has fractured the radius bone in his right wrist.

"He is going to be in plaster for four weeks."

The irony is that Daryl was training voluntarily when he had a day off.

As for Richard Garcia, Andy says:

"Richard has gone back to Australia to see the surgeon again; he is recovering very well from his cruciate and at the moment is ahead of schedule.

"With it being his second anterior cruciate reconstruction we are still looking at it being 12 months to rehab him from when he did it - but all being well he might be back a little bit sooner.

"Other than that Rufus is playing again after his reserve game last week which he came through - and he actually joined in full training the following day.

"He had no reaction to his ankle the next day, which was good news, and played a full 90 minutes for the reserves yesterday."
