Alan Pardew is delighted by the progress that Rufus Brevett is
making as he steps up his rehabilitation programme.
"I think having Rufus running around the place is a bonus for everybody," he enthuses.
"We have our fingers crossed that he is going to be involved this year.
"It is going to be touch and go for him but it would be nice to see him back."
As for who will be back for the Gillingham game, Alan adds:
"Conners is going to be fine but I still think Hayden is going to be touch and go."
