Detailing the win, Roger Cross says:
"Adam Nowland scored with virtually the last kick of the game in the 92nd minute after a defensive header from Phil Lumsden to Don Hutchison, who turned on the ball and put it into Adam's path - it was a good first touch and he did well to control the ball and, in a one v one with the keeper, slotted it fine."
As for the general pattern, Roger adds:
"The overall performance was good, especially in the first half which we dominated most of - without scoring on a couple of occasions.
"It was not such a good game of football in the second half where we didn't play so well, though."
The major positive was the return of Don Hutchison and Steve Lomas, and Roger adds:
"Hutch was back for his first game in a long time after a knee operation and he played up front where he works hard.
"Steve was back from a muscle problem, flu, and food poisoning, and he played 87 minutes, working his socks off."
Roger adds:
"David Forde did well in goal, Wayne Quinn played left midfield, Jobi McAnuff played up front and did very well, Sam Wright did very well in his first start for the reserves, and Tony Stokes, who came on for Steve Lomas at the end for his first ever reserve game, was unlucky not to score."
TEAM: Forde, McLenehan, Cohen, Nowland, Lumsden, Blewitt, Wright, Lomas [Stokes], Hutchison, McAnuff, Quinn.
