Rufus Getting Closer

Rufus Brevett is hoping to be back playing in some shape or form before the end of the season - but is understandably reluctant to set a date on a first team comeback.

Rufus was originally injured in the home game against Sheffield United on August 16th, and complications set in which required further surgery on the navicular bone of the foot.

The popular left back admits it has been a tortuous time for him.

"It has been a long hard slog with the setback that I had," he says.

"I can see the light at the end of the tunnel but I don't want to put a date on it.

"Hopefully I will be playing again this season, but obviously if it is not right I won't be risking anything.

"It really has done my head in and I want to make sure I am strong when I am back.

"It has been a very difficult time for me personally but what has happened has happened and I have to get on with it."
