West Ham reserves beat Chelsea reserves 2-1 on Wednesday evening -
meaning that in the space of 24 hours, West Ham sides have
experienced a draw, a loss, and a victory.
Peter Grant, who took the second string to Aldershot on the night, says:
"The attitude was excellent - first class; we worked hard without the ball and we worked hard with it.
"It was exactly what we were looking for, with a high tempo, and we were the better team.
"We passed and moved it well and could have been three up by half time.
"As it was, Chelsea scored with their first attack."
Jobi McAnuff and Sebastien Carole scored the goals, while Kevin Horlock was substituted at half time after a heavy challenge.
TEAM: Srnicek, McLenehan, Quinn, Horlock [Shaw 45], Melville, Ferdinand, McAnuff, Lumsden, McMahon, Carole, Tattam. Subs unused: Brady, Forde.
