West Ham United has signed goalkeeper James Walker from Walsall.
Although Walsall just failed in their battle to retain First Division status, Jimmy, 30, was in superb form for the Saddlers last season.
That included two great performances when they held the Hammers to a 1-1 draw at the Bescot Stadium and 0-0 at the Boleyn Ground. Born in Sutton-in-Ashfield, on 9th July 1973, Jimmy has made around 400 League appearances in a career that kicked-off as a youth player at Notts County in 1991-92.
Before making a senior appearance for County, Jimmy joined Walsall and made his League debut in August 1993. Since then he has been a regular for the Saddlers.
Commenting on the Hammers signing , Paul Aldridge said: "He is an important first signing of the close-season for the Club and will be a valuable asset to the squad."
