In partnership with Las Vegas Sands, Inc (LVSI), owners and operators of the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, the £70m leisure complex, which will feature a casino, will create 2,000 jobs as well as providing significant economic regeneration and new community facilities in the local area.

The complex will compliment the existing hotel, conference and banqueting facilities at the Boleyn Ground

Paul Aldridge, West Ham United's Managing Director, said:

"This is an exciting project we are working with LVSI on, not only for West Ham but also for the local community.  The proposed development will secure significant revenues for the benefit of the football team and ensure it is in a strong position for the future.

"In addition it will be of major benefit to the locality in terms of employment and economic regeneration".

Rodney Brody, Head of Operations for LVSI in the UK, said:

"We are delighted that West Ham United has agreed to work with LVSI on this development.  Together we can bring great leisure and retail facilities to the area.

"We also look forward to working closely with the local council and people to ensure that this development is in keeping with the needs of the area, particularly on community facilities which will be part of the project."
