West Ham beat Crystal Palace 1-0 in a behind closed doors friendly
on Wednesday afternoon - and Chris Cohen sustained a gash to the
head in the match which is likely to make him unavailable for
selection this weekend.
"It is quite bad but it is only the back of his head; he fell down and the lad fell on top of him," says Roger Cross.
"It was a very competitive game for a friendly and I was very pleased with the players."
The trialist from Kaiserslautern, Stijn Vreven - known to fans as Geronimo - guested and Roger adds:
"He did all right; he is an experienced player."
It is unlikely, however, that the right sided defender or midfielder will be coming to the club, and the same goes for St Patrick's Athletic's young midfielder Keith Fahey - previously on the books of Arsenal and Aston Villa - who also played.
Darren Blewitt scored the only goal.
