Fans are urged to arrive at the ground from 2.30pm as lots of entertainment and special guest appearances are planned to mark the historic day.
Cards will be placed on everyone¹s seats ready to hold up when the teams run out to create a mosaic effect. The cards have OOn the Ball City¹ and OI¹m forever blowing bubbles¹ on the back to encourage a big sing-a-long before kick-off.
At approximately 2.40pm the Club will introduce the Canary dancers onto the pitch then this will be followed by the official stand opening.
Ken Brown along with World Cup winner Martin Peters, former manager John Bond and former player Graham Paddon, all of which also have connections with the Hammers, will be introduced onto the pitch at 2.45pm. Seventy balloons will be brought onto the pitch to celebrate Brown¹s 70th birthday last Monday, which he will be asked to cut to mark the opening of the New Stand.
Each balloon has a tag on it and if retrieved by a fan and returned to the Club, can be redeemed for prizes such as match tickets and signed shirts.
At half-time Brown and his fellow guests will be interviewed on the pitch.
