"It was great; I was hoping I would get on for a good few minutes so 25 minutes was great and it was good to get the win," he says.
"It was nice to get a home debut and it was hurry-scurry, 100mph; I managed to get some good touches on the ball and it was nice to get a victory.
"The ankle had been playing up for a bit so I hadn't trained for a couple of days and I wasn't 100% but it is just a niggly injury that I have to manage it for a week until it gets right.
"It was so good to get a home game under my belt and it was a great crowd; it was really exciting and I enjoyed every minute.
"It is different to Milton Keynes, though, to be fair to them, although it is a small amount of people they make a lot of noise.
"At Milton Keynes you could hear every word, which wasn't good sometimes, but it is great to have a fan base like this and I loved going out in front of them.
"It is added pressure playing in front of a big crowd but it makes you want to play better."
Adam of course made his debut with ex-Wimbledon colleague Nigel Reo-Coker and adds:
"I was happy with the performance but there is more to come; Nigel got a full 90 minutes and that is what I am hoping to do soon.
"I will keep plodding along and I know there are plenty of midfielders here but hopefully I am versatile enough to get in somewhere, maybe on the right or behind the front two.
"But at the same time central midfield is where I want to be - that is where all the good players are.
"It is good competition but it is a challenge, and now we have to push on and get a little run going."
