Sergei Rebrov says he enjoyed the Upton Park atmosphere on Tuesday - and hopes for more of the same against Wigan.
"It was a good atmosphere and the supporters stayed with us; they saw we were working hard and we got there in the end," he says of his home debut.
"We needed a win for the confidence and the next game will be even better because we have got four points and we are up the table.
"The ball was flying and sometimes you play without midfield but I understand that and it is no problem; Alan told me to cover ground and I will look to do that.
"It will be the same on Sunday against Wigan; all the teams are the same level and they work hard.
"It was a tough game; everyone thought we would win but it was difficult - all the games in the first division are like that and hopefully we will get better.
"Of course I need some games to understand my team mates better but it doesn't matter how we played because we got the three points."
