Anton, who has made 18 first team League appearances since his senior debut at Preston at the start of the season, says:
"It didn't take me long to agree the deal, it was just a matter of sorting a few things out."
The latest in a long line of talented youngsters to graduate from the Club's Youth Academy, Anton is delighted to be given the chance to further his career at Upton Park.
"I started as a schoolboy at West Ham United, and it is great to be given the opportunity to develop my game here."
Anton naturally informed his older brother about the Club's offer.
"I speak to Rio all the time about my career - which I think is important to do," he reveals.
"I told him about the new contract and said 'there is no way I want to leave West Ham United'.
"He said he was pleased to hear that.
"West Ham United is the club for me, but it is not about my contract now, it is about beating Watford on Saturday, then Wigan, winning the play-offs and getting back into the Premiership."
Anton acknowledges that there is no better place to further his football education than at West Ham United.
"It is a great Club to learn your trade as has been shown by my brother, Frank Lampard, Michael Carrick, Jermain Defoe, Joey Cole, Richard Garcia, Shaun Byrne, Mark Noble, Chris Cohen and many others who have come through the Club's Youth Academy," he says.
Anton also explains that Alan Pardew's guidance played a big part in his decision to sign the contract immediately.
"He is a very good manager who has helped me a great deal in the short time he's been here," he says.
"I have felt more confident because he works so hard - not with just me, but the whole squad.
"I'm sure we will develop into one of the most exciting young teams in the country under his guidance."
Anton will receive his Young Hammer of the Year Award on the pitch before kick-off against Watford.
