London Underground would like to remind supporters that the first planned closure on the Circle and District lines is due to take place this coming weekend (1st 3rd May 2004 inclusive).
At stations LU staff are ready to help passengers plan alternative routes and more than 400 thousand leaflets giving information are available at affected stations and tourist bodies that have requested these. Extensive information to the press has helped publicise the closures programme and targeted letters have been to sent to District and Circle line users. Certain bus routes have been boosted and LU have also worked with train operating companies to give customers information on the works.
