Trevor On Youssef

Trevor Brooking is hoping that this season will be a "learning process" for Youssef Sofiane - and says he needs to add to his physical attributes to become a complete striker.

"He had a reserve run-out again this week and at least he is staying fit at the moment after a lot of injuries and strains," says Trevor.

"Probably if we use him at the moment it would be in a wider role than through the middle, though a striker is initially where he wants to be.

"But I think he has got to get that bit more stronger and powerful to hold off that aggression and physique that you compete with at this league.

"He is one, with his pace, that you could use chasing games in the last 20 minutes or 30 minutes.

"He has got to use this season very much as a learning process, come in and out, do his bits, and learn from them.

"We obviously have to use him at the right time because you have got to keep winning games while you are giving him experience."
