The city of Bristol is no stranger to international football with Ashton Gate having staged two England senior internationals, five at the former Under-23 level, two Under-21 level and two Under-17 level matches.
England¹s Under-17 enjoyed two victories at Ashton Gate in the 2001-02 season, winning 3-2 against Spain in a friendly and then 3-1 against Scotland in a UEFA Championship qualifier with the England star Wayne Rooney playing in both of these matches.
Team Manager, John Peacock said: ³The reception we had from the people of Bristol last time we came was fantastic, and I am delighted to be coming back. There are some outstanding young players in this team and the Under 17s recently won the Nationwide Tournament and competed in the Nordic International Tournament this summer.
