Niclas Alexandersson plays his last game on loan before he goes back to Everton after a month on loan.
"Kevin Horlock got a knock to the knee and there has to be a doubt about how many upcoming games he will play even though he is suspended for the Burnley game anyway," says Trevor Brooking.
"We will have to wait and see what the scan exactly tells us but we can't afford any more injuries in this five game flurry.
"We just have to look at whether it is ligament damage or tissue around there; in the latter case he would not be out so long."
He was a doubt even before the Norwich game, and was replaced at half time by Rob Lee.
"We gave him a go and he started off all right but he got progressively worse and you could see he was carrying it," says Trevor.
"Pearcey got through the game without feeling totally comfortable but we haven't quite got the depth we would like.
"As for Niclas, he will be going back to Everton after the weekend and we thank him for his services."
On the subject of suspensions, Tomas Repka is the latest player to pick up a ban following his booking on Wednesday.
He will miss the upcoming game against Tottenham in the Carling cup.
Burnley are without David May after he suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury.
