Mixed Fortunes For Youths

Tony Carr was delighted with his U19 side's 3-0 win over Charlton on Saturday - while the U17s lost narrowly to Leicester.

The goals came from Greg Pearson [2] and San Lee and Tony says:

"It was a good performance, and, with it being our third win on the spin, it carries on our recent good run to help us achieve a bit of consistency now.

"I am pleased we kept a clean sheet as we have found that difficult to do in recent weeks and hopefully this win lifts us off the bottom of our regional group.

"I hope now we will continue to pick up points on a regular basis."

Of the U17s 2-1 loss at Leicester Kevin Keen says:

"We struggled at the start against a very strong Leicester side; they went 1-0 up, but Bobby Singh equalised with a penalty.

"We were admittedly lucky to be level at half time but the second half was different and we played much better - but failed to convert half a dozen chances and they scored 10 minutes from the end."
