MD Paul Aldridge says that a deal to bring Marlon Harewood to Upton
Park from Nottingham Forest, while having passed the first hurdle,
still has some way to go to be finalised.
Forest have accepted a West Ham bid for Harewood, but that, at this stage, as as far as it goes.
"We have had an offer accepted by Nottingham Forest but we have not spoken formally with Marlon or his agent yet and it is far too early to say whether a deal will be completed," says Paul.
The 24 year old has scored 12 goals this season for Forest.
