"We have responded well since West Brom; I have seen the reaction of the players after expressing to them afterwards how I felt.
"I think it is important that we look to the future, not backwards, now.
"I felt that throughout the stadium that when the first goal went in there was a change of atmosphere around the place and that can only be from last year because I have not experienced it like that before.
"That is gone now; we have to push on and move forward - and that has been my message to the players which they have responded well to.
"We have got an unfortunate break but that is how it is; there is no point griping about it, at least it gives us time to work with the young players because three or four of the senior players are on international duty - and it is fingers crossed that the come back okay."
