West Ham included trialist Ben Bowditch from Spurs in the reserve
team side that faced Wimbledon at Upton Park on Tuesday evening.
The 19 year old, not to be confused with brother Dean, a forward for Ipswich Town, is a midfielder and has represented England from U16 to U20 levels.
Alan Pardew is still looking to add new faces to his squad and he says:
"The level of performance should follow with good competition in the squad; we have got a good pool of strikers and midfielders but at a club like West Ham, I should have 11 happy players and everyone else disgruntled but respecting the manager and the players in front of them."
Neil Mellor, who is 21 today, is also included in the squad.
TEAM: Bywater, Ferdinand, Byrne, Bowditch, Lumsden, Kilgallon, Sofiane, Noble D, Mellor, Pearson, McMahon.
Subs: Cohen, Reid, Blewitt, McLenehan, Noble M.
