A Message Of Thanks

Following is a message from Stephanie Moore, who would like to pass on her thanks to all the West Ham United fans who have supported The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK this season

THANK YOU

The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK would like to thank West Ham Football Club and its supporters in the Premier and Castle lounges for raising £6,500 over this last season towards bowel cancer research. I would also like to thank Tony Cottee, host to both the Premier and Castle lounges for his concerted hard work all season in co-ordinating the fund raising.

Since I founded the Bobby Moore Fund in 1993, the charity has raised over £2million for bowel cancer research. This has funded the work of nine research scientists on all aspects of bowel cancer research including the genetics and family history of bowel cancer, treatment, screening and how diet is involved in the development of the disease. The money that you all donated will be helping to fund our tenth fellowship in Bobby's name.

Bowel cancer claims 45 lives every day in the UK so we still need to do more. Thank you for supporting our vital research.

I hope that you have not only a victorious game against Birmingham City on Sunday, but that the Hammers win by an outstanding margin.

Good luck

With best wishes
