West Ham United would like to advise supporters of some
important public transport information that will affect
those travelling on the District Line to Saturday's match
against Chelsea at Upton Park, while those travelling by car
through the Wansted area should also be aware of a road closure in
Overton Drive.
Due to essential engineering works, there will be no District Line service between Barking and Upminster from Saturday, May 3, until start of traffic on Tuesday, May 6.
Two regular rail replacement bus services will operate as follows:
Service A - Barking to Dagenham East stopping at Upney,
Becontree and Dagenham Heathway.
Service B - Barking to Upminster stopping at Dagenham East, Elm
Park, Hornchurch and Upminster Bridge.
Meanwhile, supporters travelling to Upton Park by car via the Wansted area should also be aware that Overton Drive is closed westbound on Saturday.
Any drivers using that route are advised to stay on the A12 to the Green Man, or travel on the A406 to the junction of Barking Road.
